असली मालिक कौन (who is the real owner)

एक गांव में दो व्यक्तियों के बीच एक आम के पेड़ को लेकर बिबाद चल रहा था। एक कहता था मेरा है और दूसरा कहता था मेरा है, एक का नाम राजू तो दूसरे का नाम कन्हैया था।

दोनों का यह झगड़ा बादशाह अकबर के दरबार तक पहुंच गया।

In a village, a fight was going on between two people over a mango tree. One used to say it is mine and the other used to say it is mine, one's name was Raju and the other's name was Kanhaiya. This quarrel of both reached the court of Emperor Akbar.

अकबर बादशाह अपने दरबार में बैठे थे। तभी राजू और कन्हैया दोनो व्यक्ति अपने घर के पास स्थित आम के पेड़ का मामला ले कर बादशाह अकबर के पास आए। दोनों व्यक्तियों का कहना था कि वे ही आम के पेड़ के असली मालिक हैं और दुसरा व्यक्ति झूठ बोल रहा है। आम का पेड़ फलों से लदा हुआ था, इसलिए दोनों में से कोई उसपर से अपना दावा हटाना नहीं चाहता था।

 (Emperor Akbar was sitting in his court. Then both Raju and Kanhaiya came to Emperor Akbar with the matter of mango tree located near their house. Both the persons said that they are the real owners of the mango tree and the other person is lying. The mango tree was laden with fruits, so neither of them wanted to withdraw their claim on it.)

मामले की सच्चाई जानने के लिए अकबर राजू और कन्हैया के आसपास रहने वाले लोगो के बयान सुनते हैं। पर कोई फायदा नहीं हो पाता है। सभी लोग कहते हैं कि दोनों ही पेड़ को पानी देते थे। और दोनों ही पेड़ के आसपास कई बार देखे जाते थे। पेड़ की निगरानी करने वाले चौकीदार के बयान से भी साफ नहीं हुआ की पेड़ का असली मालिक राजू है या कन्हैया है, क्योंकि राजू और कन्हैया दोनों ही पेड़ की रखवाली करने के लिए चौकीदार को पैसे देते थे।

To know the truth of the matter, Akbar listens to the statements of Raju and the people living around Kanhaiya. But there is no benefit. Everyone says that both used to give water to the tree. And both were seen several times around the tree. It was not clear from the statement of the watchman who was monitoring the tree whether the real owner of the tree was Raju or Kanhaiya, as both Raju and Kanhaiya used to pay the watchman to take care of the tree.

अंत में अकबर थक हार कर अपने चतुर सलाहकार मंत्री बीरबल की सहायता लेते हैं। बीरबल तुरंत ही मामले की जड़ पकड़ लेते है। पर उन्हे सबूत के साथ मामला साबित करना होता है कि कौन सा पक्ष सही है और कौन सा झूठा। इस लिए वह एक नाटक रचते हैं।

In the end, Akbar gets tired and takes the help of his clever advisor, Minister Birbal. Birbal immediately catches the root of the matter. But they have to prove the case with evidence that which side is right and which is false. That's why he composes a play.

बीरबल आम के पेड़ की चौकीदारी करने वाले चौकीदार को एक रात अपने पास रोक लेते हैं। उसके बाद बीरबल उसी रात को अपने दो भरोसेमंद सैनिक को अलग अलग राजू और कन्हैया के घर भेज देते हैं। और समाचार देने को कहते हैं कि कहना कि "उनके आम आज रात में कोई छुप कर तोड़ने वाला है" और घर में होने वाली बातचीत सुनने का निर्देश देते हैं।

Birbal stops the watchman of the mango tree one night with him. After that Birbal sends two of his trusted soldiers to Raju and Kanhaiya's house separately on the same night. And tells to give news saying that "somebody is going to break their mangoes tonight" and instruct to listen to the conversation happening in the house.

कन्हैया के घर पहुंचा सैनिक बताता है कि आम के पेड़ के पास कुछ अज्ञात व्यक्ति पके हुए आम चुराने की फिराक में है। आप जा कर देख लीजिये। यह खबर देते वक्त कन्हैया घर पर नहीं होता है, पर कन्हैया के घर आते ही उसकी पत्नी यह खबर कन्हैया को सुनाती है।

The soldier who reached Kanhaiya's house tells that some unknown person is trying to steal ripe mangoes near the mango tree. You go and see. Kanhaiya is not at home while giving this news, but as soon as Kanhaiya comes home, his wife narrates this news to Kanhaiya.

कन्हैया बोलता है, “हां… हां… सुन लिया अब खाना लगा। वैसे भी बादशाह के दरबार में अभी फेसला होना बाकी है… पता नही हमे मिलेगा कि नहीं। और खाली पेट चोरों से लड़ने की ताकत कहाँ से आएगी; वैसे भी चोरों के पास तो आजकल हथियार भी होते हैं।”

Kanhaiya says, “Yes… yes… heard it, now started eating. Anyway, the decision is yet to be taken in the court of the emperor… I do not know whether we will get it or not. And from where will the strength to fight thieves come on an empty stomach; Anyway, thieves have weapons these days too."

आदेश अनुसार “झूठा समाचार” पहुंचाने वाला सैनिक कन्हैया की यह बात सुनकर बीरबल को बता देता है।

According to the order, the soldier who delivered the "false news" tells Birbal after hearing this from Kanhaiya.

 राजू के घर पहुंचा सैनिक बताता है, “आप के आम के पेड़ के पास कुछ अज्ञात व्यक्ति पके हुए आम चुराने वाले है। आप जा कर देख लीजिये।”

The soldier who reached Raju's house says, “Near your mango tree some unknown person is stealing ripe mangoes. You go and see."

यह खबर देते वक्त राजू भी अपने घर पर नहीं होता है, पर राजू के घर आते ही उसकी पत्नी ने यह खबर राजू को सुनाई।

Raju is also not at his house while giving this news, but as soon as Raju comes home, his wife narrated this news to Raju.

राजू आव देखता है न ताव, फ़ौरन लाठी उठाता है और पेड़ की ओर भागता है। उसकी पत्नी आवाज लगाती है, अरे खाना तो खा लो फिर जाना… राजू जवाब देता है कि… खाना भागा नहीं जा रहा, पर हमारे आम के पेड़ से आम चोरी हो गए तो वह वापस नहीं आएंगे… इतना बोल कर राजू दौड़ता हुआ पेड़ के पास चला जाता है।

Raju doesn't care, immediately picks up the stick and runs towards the tree. His wife calls out, hey eat food then go… Raju replies that… the food is not being run away, but if mangoes are stolen from our mango tree, he will not come back… Raju running towards the tree saying so much. passes by.

सैनिक वापस लौट कर बीरबल को सारी बात बता देते हैं।

The soldiers return and tell Birbal everything.

दूसरे दिन अकबर के दरबार में राजू और कन्हैया को बुलाया जाता है। 

On the second day, Raju and Kanhaiya are called in Akbar's court.

बीरबल रात को किए हुए परीक्षण की सारी बात बादशाह अकबर को सुना देते हैं, जिसमे भेजे गए दोनों सैनिक गवाही देते हैं। अकबर राजू को आम के पेड़ का मालिक घोषित करते हैं। और कन्हैया को पेड़ पर झूठा दावा करने के लिए कडा दंड देते हैं। तथा मामले को गंभीरता पूर्वक, चतुराई से सुल्झाने के लिए बीरबल की प्रशंशा करते हैं।

Birbal narrates the whole story of the night's trial to Emperor Akbar, in which both the sent soldiers testify. Akbar declares Raju to be the owner of the mango tree. and punishes Kanhaiya severely for making a false claim on the tree. And praise Birbal for solving the matter seriously, cleverly.

जो लोग कड़ी मेहनत कर के अपनी किसी वस्तु या संपत्ति को उत्पन्न करता है उसे उसकी परवाह अधिक होती है।
