बचपन की शरारत और भूत का डर (Childhood mischief and fear of ghosts )

हमारी कहानी भारत के एक छोटे से गांव डफल पुर की है।

Our story is of a small village in India, Daffalpur.

इस गांव में सभी लोग खेती किसानी किया करते थे।

और गांव के सभी लोग आपस मे मिलजुलकर प्रेम से जीवन यापन करते थे। गांव में श्यामू नाम का किसान था उसका एक ही लड़का था उसका नाम गोपीचंद था पर उसे लोग प्यार से गोपू कहकर बुलाते थे।

All the people in this village used to do farming.

 And all the people of the village used to live their life together with love.  There was a farmer named Shyamu in the village, he had only one boy, his name was Gopichand, but people used to call him as Gopu with love.

गोपू बचपन से ही बहुत शरारती था । अपने मां बाप का इकलौता बेटा था इसलिए वह कुछ ज्यादा ही शरारती हो गया था लोग ज्यादा कुछ डांट नहीं लगाते थे। क्योंकि उसकी मां नाराज हो जाया करती थी।

वैसे वो लड़ाई झगड़ा तो नहीं करता था। लेकिन उसकी आदतें थोड़ा, गंदी थी । जैसे वह बचपन मे अपने बिस्तर मे बाथरूम (शुशू) करता था, वैसे उसकी ये आदत अभी भी नहीं छूट पाई थी। उसकी ऐसी आदत से उसकी मां हमेशा चिंता में डूबी रहती थी।

Gopu was very mischievous since childhood.  He was the only son of his parents, so he had become very mischievous, people did not scold much.  Because his mother used to get angry.

 Well, he didn't fight.  But his habits were a bit filthy.  Just like he used to do bathroom (Shushu) in his bed in childhood, in the same way, this habit of his still could not be left.  Her mother was always worried about her such habit.

वह यही सोचा करती थी कि इसकी शादी केसे करें, इसको अपनी लड़की कौन देगा।

और जब वह गोपू को इसके लिए डांटती तो वह कहता था रात सपने में भूत आता है और मुझे बिस्तर से नीचे उतरने से मना करता है, कहता है कि जो भी करना है यहीं कर ले बिस्तर से उठेगा तो मारूंगा।

 "ये सुनकर उसकी मां चुप हो जाती थी "।

She used to think that how to marry her, who will give it to her girl.

 And when she scolds Gopu for this, he used to say that the ghost comes in the night dreams and forbids me to get down from the bed, says that whatever I want to do here, I will kill if I get out of bed.

 "His mother used to be silent on hearing this".

"वह कुछ नहीं कह पाती थी। बेचारी करती भी क्या अब बेटा जवान भी हो गया था।"

"She couldn't say anything. Poor thing, even now the son was young too."

डफल पुर से कुछ ही दूरी पर एक गांव था हरैया , 

 हरैया के सुखी राम(सुखिया) और श्यामू दोनों में बचपन से ही बहुत ही गहरी दोस्ती थी।

सुखिया को तीन बेटियां थी फूलो, बेला और कमल ।

फूलो सबसे बड़ी थी और शादी के लायक भी हो चुकी थी। इसलिए श्यामू सुखिया के पास पहुंच गया और उससे अपने बेटे गोपू के लिए उसकी बड़ी बेटी फूलो के साथ शादी का प्रस्ताव रख दिया।

There was a village Haraiya, just a short distance from Daffalpur.

 Both Sukhi Ram (Sukhiya) and Shyamu of Haraiya had a very close friendship since childhood.

 Sukhiya had three daughters, Phoolo, Bela and Kamal.

 Phoolo was the eldest and was also fit for marriage.  So Shyamu reaches out to Sukhiya and proposes marriage to her for his son Gopu along with his elder daughter Phoolo.

"सुखिया, श्यामू की अपेक्षा काफी गरीब था इसलिए चाहते हुए भी वह श्यामू से यह बात नहीं कह पा रहा था। जबकि पहले से ही वह इसके बारे में सोच रहा था।"

"श्यामू के मुंह से इस बात को सुन कर मानो उसकी खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा हो।"

"Sukhiya was much poorer than Shyamu, so he was not able to say this to Shyamu even if he wanted to. Even though he was already thinking about it."

 "Hearing this from Shyamu's mouth as if his happiness knew no bounds."

वह खुशी खुशी मान गया और उसी समय पण्डित को बुला कर ले आया शादी का शुभ मुहूर्त निकाला गया शादी का दिन तय कर दिया गया।

अब दोनों खुशी खुशी अपने घर गए और शादी की तैयारी में लग गए।

He happily agreed and at the same time called the Pandit and brought the auspicious time for the wedding, the wedding day was fixed.

 Now both happily went to their home and started preparing for marriage.

"धीरे धीरे शादी का समय आ गया और गोपू फूलो दोनों शादी के बन्धन में बंध गए। "

"Slowly the time came for marriage and both Gopu Phoolo got married."

फूलो बेहद ही खूबसूरत थी वह मन से चंचल और स्वभाव से बहुत ही सरमीली थी गोपू, फूलो जैसी सुंदर बीबी पाकर बहुत ही खुश था।

फूलो को भी गोपू बहुत पसंद था क्योंकि गोपू भी किसी हीरो से कम नहीं था।

शादी के दिन दोनों बहुत खुश थे। और रात भर एक दूसरे को आंखो में आंखे डाल कर देखते रहे और कब सुबह हो गई पता ही नहीं चला। दोनों एक दूसरे को पाकर इतने खुश थे कि मानो अब दुनिया में किसी चीज की जरूरत ही नहीं बची। 

Flowers was very beautiful, she was playful in mind and very simple in nature. Gopu was very happy to have a beautiful wife like flowers.

 Phoolo also liked Gopu very much because Gopu was also no less than a hero.

 Both were very happy on the wedding day.  And they kept looking each other in the eyes all night long and did not know when it was morning.  Both were so happy to have found each other that it was as if there was no need for anything in the world.

"तेरी आंखों का मेरी आंखों को इसारा मिल गया

तुम जो मिले तो मुझे जीने का सहारा मिल गया,"

"Your eyes have found my eyes

 Whoever you meet, I got the support to live."

दोनो इस कदर एक दूसरे में खो गए कि सुहागरात क्या होती है मानो कुछ पता ही न हो।

धीरे धीरे दो चार दिन तो निकल गए कुछ नहीं हुआ

गोपू अपनी पत्नी फूलो के प्यार में डूबा रहता था। और उसका अपनी पत्नी को छोड़कर कहीं जाने का मन ही नहीं करता था। इस लिए उसकी सरारतें भी धीरे धीरे कम हो गई।

लेकिन कुछ आदतें ऐसी होती हैं जो आसानी से नहीं छूटती।

अभी तक तो गोपू के मन में प्यार वाली बेचैनी थी जो सोने नहीं देती थी ।

Both were so lost in each other that what a honeymoon is as if nothing is known.

 Slowly two or four days passed, nothing happened

 Gopu used to be immersed in the love of his wife Phoolo.  And he did not feel like leaving his wife and going anywhere.  For this his sarcasm also gradually subsided.

 But there are some habits that are not easy to break.

 Till now, Gopu was restless with love which did not allow him to sleep.

लेकिन अब बिस्तर में पेशाब (शुशु) वाली बेचैनी उसे परेशान करने लगी जिसकी वजह से गोपू थोड़ा गुमसुम सा रहने लगा। वह सोचता था कि अगर किसी दिन गलती से गलती हो गई तो फूलो उसके बारे में क्या सोचेगी।

गोपू को गुमसुम सा देखकर फूलो ने उससे पूछा भी कि आप इतने खोए खोए से क्यों रहते हैं तो, "बस कुछ नहीं" कह कर बात को टाल दिया।

But now the restlessness of urine (Shushu) in the bed started bothering him, due to which Gopu remained a bit silent.  He wondered what would Phoolo think of him if he accidentally made a mistake someday.

 Seeing Gopu in a daze, Phoolo asked him why do you live with such a lost khoya, then by saying "just nothing" he avoided the matter.

धीरे धीरे वह दिन आ ही गया जिसका सबको डर था सिवाय फूलो के क्योंकि उसे तो ये पता ही नहीं था। खैर रोज की तरह फूलो सुबह उठ कर अपने घर के कामो में व्यस्त हो गई और गोपू देर तक सोता ही रहा।

फूलो ने जब देर देखा तो गोपू को जगाने चली गई।

अजी सुनते हो आज उठना नही है क्या दिन सर पर सवार हो गया और आपकी आंख ही नहीं खुली अभी तक क्या हो गया अब उठ भी जाओ कितना सोवोगे।

Slowly the day came which everyone was afraid of except flowers because he did not even know it.  Well as usual, Phoolo woke up in the morning and got busy with her household chores and Gopu kept sleeping till late.

 When Phoolo saw the delay, she went to wake Gopu.

 Hey, you do not have to get up today, has the day gone on your head and your eyes have not opened yet what has happened, now even get up, how much will you sleep?

(गोपू तो जाग ही रहा था पर मुंह छुपाए पड़ा हुआ था कैसे बताए कि उसने बिस्तर पर पेशाब कर दिया है) 

(Gopu was awake but his face was lying hidden, how can he tell that he has urinated on the bed)

"लेकिन जब फूलो से रहा नहीं गया तो उसने गोपू की चादर पकड़ कर खींच लिया"

चादर के हटते ही फूलो समझ गई कि क्या माजरा है। गोपू कि आंख में आंसू भर आए और वह बिस्तर से उठ कर सर नीचा किए सीधा घर से बाहर चला गया। 

ये सब नजारा देख कर फूलो को भी समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि वह क्या करे, 

"But when he could not live with flowers, he grabbed Gopu's sheet and pulled it."

 As soon as the sheet was removed, Phoolo understood what was the matter.  Gopu's eyes filled with tears and he got up from the bed with his head down and went straight out of the house.

 Seeing all this sight, even the flowers could not understand what to do.

अच्छी खासी प्यार भरी दुनियां अब उजड़ती हुई दिख रही थी। "

The well-loved world was now looking torn apart.  ,

जो एक मिनट भी फूलो को अकेला छोड़ने वाला नहीं थावही पूरा दिन घर वापस नहीं आया । फूलो को भी अंदर ही अंदर चिंता सता रही थी वह सोच रही थी कि इसके बारे में गोपू से बात करे या नहीं क्योंकि गोपू तो पहले से ही शर्मिंदा है और इस बारे में बात कर के वह उसे और शर्मिन्दा नहीं कर ना चाहती थी पर सोचती थी कि कुछ न कुछ तो करना ही पड़ेगा जिससे कि गोपू की ये आदत छूट जाए। इसी तरह सोचते सोचते शाम होने को आ गई लेकिन गोपू लौट कर नहीं आया तो फूलो से रहा नहीं गया तो अपने ससुर जी से बुला कर लाने को कहा।

The one who was not going to leave the flowers alone even for a minute, did not return home for the whole day.  Phoolo was also worried inside, she was thinking whether to talk to Gopu about it or not because Gopu is already embarrassed and by talking about this she did not want to embarrass him any more but thought  It was that something had to be done so that this habit of Gopu would be left.  Thinking like this, the evening came but if Gopu did not come back, he could not stay with flowers, then asked his father-in-law to bring him.

श्यामू गए और गोपू को कहीं से ढूंढ कर घर लाए। घर आते ही गोपू सीधा सर नीचा किए अपने कमरे में गया और चादर ओढ़ कर लेट गया। पीछे से फूलो भी कमरे में आई और गोपू के बगल ही बिस्तर पर बैठ गई उसकी हिम्मत नहीं हो रही थी कि वो गोपू से कैसे कुछ कहे। उससे उसका दुःख देखा नहीं जा रहा था उससे बर्दाश्त नहीं हुवा और वह रोने लगी।

Shyamu went and found Gopu from somewhere and brought him home.  As soon as he came home, Gopu went straight to his room with his head down and covered the sheet and lay down.  Flowers also came in the room from behind and sat on the bed next to Gopu, she was not daring how to say anything to Gopu.  Her grief was not being seen from him, she could not bear it and she started crying.

"फूलो के रोने कि आवाज सुन कर गोपू तुरंत उठ गया । उसने सोचा रोना तो मुझे चाहिए ये क्यों रो रही है।

फूलो तुम क्यों रो रही हो क्या हुवा तुम्हे?"

"Gopu immediately got up after hearing the sound of flowers crying. He thought I should cry, why is she crying.

 Flowers, why are you crying, what happened to you?"

सुबह से शाम तक कहां चले गए थे आप आज तक तो कभी ऐसा नहीं किया था आपने।

फूलो.. तुमने सुबह देखा नहीं था क्या हुआ था ।

तो क्या हुआ गलती तो किसी से भी हो सकती है। उसमें मेरा क्या कसूर था जो सुबह से शाम तक घर वापस नहीं आए, खुद ही गलती करते हो और खुद ही नाराज हो जाते हो।

Where did you go from morning till evening, you had never done this till today.

 Flowers.. you didn't see what had happened in the morning.

 So what happened, the mistake can happen to anyone.  What was my fault in him who does not return home from morning till evening, commits mistakes himself and gets angry himself.

("फूलो के मुंह से ये बातें सुनकर गोपू की आँखें छलक पड़ीं")

फूलो तुम नहीं जानती मेरी बचपन की आदत अभी भी नहीं गई। पहले तो मैं नासमझी में मां को परेशान करने के लिए जानबूझकर बिस्तर में पेशाब कर दिया करता था और मां मुझे डांटती थी मुझ पर चिल्लाती थी मुझे अच्छा लगता था। लेकिन मां तो मां होती है थोड़ी देर चिल्लाती थी फिर शांत हो जाती थी।

मेरी इन्ही गलतियों की वजह से मेरी ये आदत अभी भी नहीं गई और कभी कभार ये गलती हो ही जाती है ।

Flowers you don't know my childhood habit is still not gone.  Earlier, I used to urinate on the bed intentionally to harass my mother out of ignorance and mother used to scold me and shout at me I liked it.  But a mother is a mother, she used to cry for a while and then she used to calm down.

 Due to these mistakes of mine, this habit of mine has not gone yet and sometimes this mistake does happen.

क्या करूं कुछ समझ में नहीं आता । मैं तो सोंच रहा था कि मैं तुम्हारा सामना कैसे करूंगा। मैं तो तुमसे नजर भी नहीं मिला सकता था। लेकिन अब मुझे पूरा विश्वास है मुझे अपने जिगर का टुकड़ा कहने वाली मेरी मां में और तुममें कोई फर्क नहीं है 

"(इतना कहते कहते गोपू के आंख से आंसू बहनें लगे और वह सिसक सिसक कर रोने लगा)"

I don't understand what to do.  I was thinking how will I face you.  I couldn't even take my eyes off you.  But now I have full faith that there is no difference between you and my mother who calls me a piece of her liver.

 "(Tears started flowing from Gopu's eyes while saying this and he sobbed and started crying)"

"फूलो, गोपू का सर अपनी गोद में रख कर उसके बालों में हाथ फेरते हुए मीठी मीठी बातें करने लगी।"

 "Flower, keeping Gopu's head in her lap, she started talking sweetly while moving her hand in his hair."

थोड़ी ही देर में दोनों सारी बातें भूल कर फिर से एक दूसरे में खो गए। कुछ देर बाद फूलो चली गई।

अपने सास और ससुर को खाना खिलाया और एक थाली में गोपू के लिए ले कर आई।अब दोनों ने मिलकर एक ही थाली में खाना खाया और फिर लेट गए।

In a short time, forgetting all the things, both of them got lost in each other again.  After a while the flowers went away.

 She fed food to her mother-in-law and father-in-law and brought it in a plate for Gopu. Now both of them ate food together in the same plate and then lay down.

फिर फूलो ने कहा आप इतने समझदार हैं फिर भी ये गलती कैसे हो जाती है।

गोपू ने कहा अब मैं जानबूझ कर थोड़े ही करता हूं। अभी बताऊंगा तो तुम मुझ पर हंसोगी। नहीं मैं नहीं हँसूंगी फूलो ने कहा।

जब मैं सो जाता हूं तो सपने में भूत आता है और कहता है।

मूत नहीं तो मारूंगा। मैं डर जाता हूं और.....हो जाता है क्या करूं।

Then the flowers said that you are so intelligent, yet how does this mistake happen.

 Gopu said now I do little intentionally.  If I tell you now, you will laugh at me.  No, I will not laugh, said Phoolo.

 When I fall asleep the ghost comes in my dream and says.

 If not, I will kill.  I get scared and… what to do.

ये सुनकर फूलो मुस्कुराने लगी । बोली ठीक है अगर आज रात में भूत आए और मूतने को कहे तो कहना पहले मुझे पैसा दो तब तुम जो बोलोगे सब कुछ करूंगा ठीक है। 

ठीक है तरकीब तो अच्छी है देखते हैं क्या होता है गोपू ने कहा और फिर बातें करते करते दोनों खुशी खुशी सो गए। 

अब गोपू को सपने में फिर से वही भूत मिला और मूतने को कहने लगा।

On hearing this, Phool started smiling.  Quote is ok, if the ghost comes tonight and asks you to wee, then say first give me money, then whatever you say, I will do everything.

 Ok, the trick is good, let's see what happens, Gopu said and then both of them fell asleep happily while talking.

 Now Gopu again found the same ghost in his dream and started asking to wee.

ठीक है पहले तुम मुझे पैसा दो फिर तुम जो बोलोगे सब करूंगा।

भूत बोला" भाई पैसा तो मेरे पास नहीं है। 

The ghost said, "Brother, I do not have money.

तुम तो भूत हो कहीं से भी चुरा कर ले आओ नहीं तो आज के बाद मुझे कुछ मत कहना "गोपू बोला"।

भूत बोला ठीक है हम चुरा कर ले आयेंगे लेकिन साथ में तुम्हें भी चलना पड़ेगा।

गोपू"मैं तुम्हारे साथ कैसे चल सकता हूं तुम तो उड़ कर जाते हो,

भूत"जब मैं उडूंगा तो तुम मेरा पैर पकड़ लेना।

गोपू"ठीक है लेकिन मैं पीछे ही रहूंगा चोरी तुम्हें ही करना पड़ेगा।

भूत"ठीक है तो चलो चलते हैं ।

You are a ghost, steal it from anywhere, otherwise don't tell me anything after today "Gopu said".

 The ghost said okay, we will steal it but you will also have to walk together.

 Gopu "How can I walk with you, you fly away,

 Ghost "When I fly you hold my leg.

 Gopu "Okay but I will stay behind you will have to steal.

 Ghost "Okay then let's go.

"भूत उड़ता है और गोपू भी पीछे से भूतका पैर पकड़ कर उड़ने लगता है"

"उड़ते उड़ते दोनों एक नगर सेठ के घर में चोरी करने के लिए रुक जाते हैं"

गोपू बाहर ही रुक जाता है और भूत सेठ के घर में घुस जाता है और पैसा ढूंढने लगता है। तभी कुछ आवाज सुन कर सेठ की नींद टूट जाती है और वह लालटेन जला कर इधर उधर देखने लगता है। अचानक सेठ की नजर भूत के ऊपर पड़ जाती है और भूत को चोर समझ कर सेठ उसे पकड़ने दौड़ पड़ता है सेठ को आता देख भूत वहां से भागने लगता है और पीछे से गोपू भी भूत का पैर पकड़ कर उड़ने लगता है ।

कुछ ही ऊपर उड़ा था कि भूत को लगा गोपू का वजन पहले से ज्यादा हो गया है तो उसने गोपू से पूंछा गोपू तुम्हारा वजन इतना ज्यादा क्यों हो गया।

 Gopu stops outside and the ghost enters Seth's house and starts looking for money.  Just then, hearing some sound, Seth breaks his sleep and starts looking around after lighting the lantern.  Suddenly Seth's eyes fall on the ghost and thinking of the ghost as a thief, Seth rushes to catch him.

 He had just blown up that the ghost felt that Gopu's weight had become more than before, so he asked Gopu, why did your weight become so much.

गोपू" भूत भाई मैं अकेला नहीं हूं सेठ भी पीछे से मेरा पैर पकड़ कर आ रहा है।

Gopu "Bhoot brother, I am not alone, Seth is also coming from behind holding my leg.

भूत" अरे यार गोपू अब क्या करें।

गोपू" मै क्या जानूं तुम जानो। भूत होकर तुम्हें भी डर लग रहा है।

Bhoot "Hey man Gopu what to do now.

 Gopu "What do I want to know, you know. Being a ghost, you are also scared.

भूत बोला" तो क्या भूत का काम चोरी करना थोड़ी न है मुझे तो तुम जैसे लोगों को डराने में ही अच्छा लगता है । 

The ghost said, "So isn't it a bit to steal the work of a ghost, I like to scare people like you only.

लेकिन यार कुछ न कुछ तो करना ही पड़ेगा।

गोपू" मैं क्या करूं

भूत" गोपू यार एक काम करेगा

गोपू" बोलो

भूत" यार गोपू हग दे (संडास कर दे) साले के ऊपर तब तो छोड़ेगा।

और फिर गोपू ने जैसे ही संडास किया आंख खुल गई और सारा बिस्तर सारे कपड़े सब खराब पूरेघर में बदबू फैलने लगी जिसकी वजह से फूलो की भी आंख खुल गई।

और नाक पर हाथ रखते हुए गोपू की तरफ देखने लगी जो नजरे झुकाए सर लटकाए बैठा हुआ था। फूलो को सारी बात समझ में आ गई थी।

यह क्या किया आपने मूतने पर पैसा मांगने के लिए कहा तो संडास कर दिया आपने।

But man, something has to be done.

 "Bhoot" yaar gopu will give hag de (sandas kar de) on his brother-in-law then he will leave.

 And then as soon as Gopu did the sandas, the eyes opened and the whole bed, all the clothes, all the bad smell started spreading in the whole house, due to which the eyes of the flowers also opened.

 And keeping her hand on her nose, she started looking at Gopu, who was sitting with his head hanging down.  Flowers understood everything.

 What did you do when you asked to ask for money on the wee, then you did the sandas.

फूलो मै...वो...मैं........

गोपू ने हकलाते हुए सारी बात बता दी जिसे सुनकर फूलो जोर जोर से हंसने लगी ।

Gopu stammered and told the whole thing, hearing which Phoolo started laughing out loud.

 सुबह हुई सारा बिस्तर कपड़ा सब कुछ साफ किया। नहाया धोया और फिर नाश्ता करके फूलो गोपू को लेकर गांव के वैध जी के पास पहुंची और सारी बातें खुलकर बता दी।

सारी बातें सुनकर वैध जी ने कुछ जड़ी बूटियां दीं। और खाने पीने में कुछ बदलाव किए और कुछ चीजों से कुछ दिनों के लिए परहेज रखने को कहा। 

 In the morning all the bed clothes cleaned everything.  Bathed, washed and then after having breakfast, Phoolo reached the legitimate ji of the village with Gopu and told all the things openly.

 After listening to all the things, Vaidhi ji gave some herbs.  And made some changes in food and drink and some things for a few days.

After a few days all the bad habits of Gopu were gone.

 And now Phoolo, Gopu and her mother-in-law all started living their life happily.
